Details
Maebongsan is a low hill located at the junction of Jungnangcheon Stream joining the Hangang River. Its name, Maebong, originated from its history. In the early Joseon Era, it was a hunting ground where the King of Joseon released falcons to hunt, and therefore, it was named Maebong or Eungbong (both mean 'Hawk Peak') in Hanja. You can observe migratory birds at the top of the hill, and it is a place where you can overlook the Seoul Forest, Mt. Namsan, Mt. Cheonggyesan, and Mt. Umyeonsan at a glance with a charming night view.
